What can you expect from a visit to Kalos?
Well hello there beautiful! I'll be the first to admit your visit may seem different than any other spa you've visited for a facial. My philosophy towards skin care is this is a journey we are embarking on together. Our goal is your confidence in your beauty. The path we take will be paved with nourishing skin care products filled with plant-based active ingredients and holistic treatments that nurture your skin to a glowing radiance.
I'm going to start out by listening to your concerns and understanding the results you want. I'm going to ask you a lot of questions about how you currently care for your skin, your lifestyle, your diet, & your stress level to gauge where we are and what courses of treatments will work best for you. Every treatment is personalized for you.
After your session, we'll talk about what the best course of action for future treatments, home care, and lifestyle changes will be to transform your skin.
My goal is to restore your skin naturally so you can be confident in your own beauty. You can expect me to follow up with you to make sure you're getting the results you came to me for. I want to hear that you're getting compliments on your skin and you feel like you don't even need to wear make up out to the grocery store!

My name is Melissa Berry. It's so good to meet you! My path to becoming a holistic esthetician wasn't a straight one. After graduating with my Bachelor's of Business Administration in 2006, I began what I thought was my dream career at a large investment firm. Within four years, I was dreading every day I went to work. The corporate world was just not for me. So I had to step back and reassess myself. I had always loved make up and creating make up, so I took a class at a local cosmetology school. This school also taught an esthetics course. I found it fascinating and enrolled, and 6 months later I was holding my new license.
A huge move and a few spas later, I was finally ready to go out on my own, delivering personalized holistic skin experiences. I absolutely love my days at work now, and it doesn't even feel like work. I love when women walk out of my room, so happy with how their skin looks and feels. I love all the smells of the herbal and botanical products I get to use. I love that my industry is constantly innovating and discovering new advancements.
Practicing on my own has given me to opportunity to create my own skin care line and my own treatments. My philosophy on skin care is that a whole body and whole earth approach is the best course to long term transformation. I have found that using treatments that respect your skin's barrier and health result in better, glowing radiance than treatments that are too aggressive and destroy the careful balance your skin needs. I have also found plant-based active ingredients elicit a more synergistic life to your skin, with fewer unwanted side effects.

How can I book my appointments?
The easiest way is to use the online booking system on the book online page. You can also text 575-517-2802 however. please note, I am a solo practitioner and may not answer immediately if I am with a client or if it is after business hours. Feel free to leave a message or text and I will get back to you ASAP!
What is your policy on bringing my children?
Due to the unsupervised nature of the facility, bringing small children is discouraged. There are dangers in an esthetics treatment room; hot wax, electrical devices, ect. No child may be left unsupervised, during ANY appointment (brazilian, back facial, ANY appointment). I am also not licensed to care for your child, so the supervisor must be you, at all times. Due to this, I again recommend small children be left at home, and remind you, any child in Kalos is your responsibility and at your own risk.
What is your cancellation policy?
In order to run efficiently and see as many clients as possible, I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If appointments are not cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time, a $25 or full price of the appointment, whichever is less, will be charged to the card on file. This 24 hours gives me the ability to contact my wait list to fill the appointment spot. If a client no-shows an appointment 3 times, a deposit for future appointments will be required in order to secure booking.
